From Times Staff Reports

The order of Catholic nuns that runs Providence High School has paid an undisclosed amount of money to a former student who sued after she and a teacher allegedly had a sexual relationship.

Richard Farnell, the attorney for plaintiff Katherine Graham, filed two weeks ago to dismiss the negligence complaint against the Sisters of Providence in California, he said Thursday. Neither side would discuss the terms of the settlement.

Graham, who turns 25 Saturday, alleged that she and the male teacher began a sexual relationship just before her 18th birthday.
