The city has offered to pay Northrop Grumman $500,000 if the company brings new jobs related to the Joint Strike Fighter program to town.

The City Council unanimously approved the offer this week in an attempt to lure 250 of the full-time jobs that Northrop will create over the next few years as part of the project. Northrop spokesman Jim Hart said the firm hasn’t decided where to locate the jobs.
