Debacle in Bosnia

Share

My compliments for publishing David DeVoss’ “Bosnia 10 Years Later Is a Broken Country” (Opinion, May 12). Those of us who have closely followed the tragic events in the Balkans as well as those who have visited Bosnia many times since the Dayton accords debacle attest to the validity of this piece. For the first time, your readers got a true picture of Bosnia. It should be a lesson to many, especially to those who continue to advocate replication of the Bosnia model throughout the world. The first replication in Kosovo is yet another fiasco. Nonetheless, some foreign policy gurus recommend that the Bosnia model be replicated even on the West Bank.
