Two Serbs wanted on suspicion of war crimes in Croatia surrendered to the U.N. tribunal in The Hague.

Former Yugoslav army Gen. Mile Mrksic, 54, is charged in connection with the killing of at least 200 non-Serbs near the Croatian city of Vukovar in 1991. The victims were taken from the hospital after the city fell to Serbian forces.

Milan Martic, 56, former president of a self-declared Serbian republic in Croatia, faces trial in the 1995 shelling of civilian targets in the capital, Zagreb. The attack killed at least seven people and wounded many more.
