‘The Valley’ Will Do

The city secession name-game fiasco is not unlike renaming your mother “the Family Biological Incubator.” It is safe to wager that it does not matter what name is chosen upon secession, the area will continue to be called “the Valley,” just as Los Angeles is referred to as “over the hill,” not as L.A.

In fact, it is probable that Los Angeles will find “Over the Hill” a more apropos name when Valley revenue, despite the alimony, is no longer flowing unabated into its coffers. The solution? KISS (Keep It Simple, Secessionists). “The Valley” works just fine.
