Scholarships Go to 10 Area Students

Ten Orange County high school seniors are among 200 Horatio Alger California Scholars who will receive $2,500 college scholarships.

They are: Pearl Wu of Anaheim, Nicholas Sabatasso of Dana Point, Michael Jiang of Fullerton, Vivian Luong of Garden Grove, Aimee Nguyen of Huntington Beach, Matthew Henry and April P. Roberts of Laguna Hills, Christopher Hernandez of Placentia, and Hien Pham and Perla Rodriguez of Santa Ana.

Scholarship winners are to have overcome adversity through integrity, initiative and hard work. They also should have financial need and be academically successful and involved in extra-curricular events.
