JDL Leader Irv Rubin

Re “Jewish Defense League’s Rubin Is Eulogized by Rabbi as a Hero,” Nov. 18: I just left Irv Rubin’s funeral. I cannot believe that he has died, but all evidence seems to point that way; it’s hard to dispute, when a coffin has been lowered into its grave and the community steps forward to lay dirt upon it.

It is amazing to me that while this country is in a state of war -- a war against terrorism, where all available resources are needed to fight this insidious element festering among us -- our FBI would expend its agents to photograph the mourners as they entered the cemetery. No wonder we are not making any significant strides in this war.

May God rest Rubin’s soul in peace.
