‘Spiffed-up’ S.F.? He begs to differ
On a September visit to San Francisco I got a deal at one of the hotels mentioned in “Time for a Splurge in S.F.” (Nov. 17). The “spiffed-up” Union Square is nothing more than concrete and metal. They got rid of the grass, trees and flowers to keep the homeless at bay.
