At least 10 police officers were killed and several were hurt when a bomb tore through a police station in Chechnya, Russia’s separatist republic, and rescuers searched for the estimated 20 people who might be caught in the rubble, officials and news agencies said.

Officials said the bomb in the four-story building in the regional capital, Grozny, had been planted to hit a gathering of police officials on a floor above.
