Plea Agreement Near in Briton’s Stalking Case

The attorney for the son of Britain’s top judicial officer told a judge Wednesday that both sides were close to a plea agreement in the stalking case against his client.

Attorney James D. Riddet and Deputy District Attorney Mike Fell told Superior Court Judge Everett W. Dickey they expected to reach the agreement by today.

Alastair Irvine, 25, was arrested June 21 for allegedly throwing a caustic chemical on a neighbor’s car and threatening the boyfriend of a woman he had met. Irvine, son of Britain’s Lord Chancellor Derry Irvine, faces felony counts of vandalism, stalking and burglary.
