Abdulaziz bin Salamah
“There was a lot of embarrassment [in Saudi Arabia], not a sense of guilt but embarrassment, because no one wanted Saudis to be involved. Many people here know the Americans very well. They want to maintain good relations with the United States. We know that thousands of Americans have contributed to the development of Saudi Arabia. I want to send my kids to the U.S. I don’t want to say it is no longer possible, but they will not be living at ease like I did.
There is a sense that there has been an unjust portrayal of Saudi Arabia.”
