From Times Wire Reports

A Northern California Indian tribe could begin building a $215-million Nevada-style casino this fall between Sacramento and Reno.

A federal court rejected appeals of an Interior Department decision accepting 49 acres near Interstate 80, 30 miles northeast of Sacramento, into trust for the United Auburn Indian Community. A court of appeals is now considering an emergency stay of the ruling.

The neighboring communities of Roseville and Rocklin, and the group Citizens for Safer Communities, challenged the decision.
