Web Site Lets Millions File State Taxes for Free
From Times Wire Reports
The state launched a Web site Wednesday from which 4 million Californians are eligible to file their income tax returns for free.
The Franchise Tax Board’s new Web site, www.ftb.ca.gov, allows free filing for taxpayers who use the state’s simplest and shortest tax form, the 540 2EZ.
Electronic filers must download a worksheet, do their own calculations and log back onto the site to file.
