Sam Fuller Had the Answer
Kenneth Turan’s Perspective on the emotional bankruptcy in contemporary commercial cinema (“Big Heart, Big Box Office,” Sept. 1) evokes the filmmaking philosophy of Sam Fuller (a man who certainly knew how to stir emotion and churn viscera): Film is a battleground.
