Foster Parents Accused of Harming Boy’s Health
From Times Wire Reports
A 4-year-old boy taken from the home of a former Fresno County Jail corrections officer and his wife had lost nearly half his weight in five months while in the couple’s care, the boy’s lawyer said.
The boy’s foster parents apparently withheld food from him and his 10-year-old brother, causing the boy to go from 50 pounds to about 30 pounds, attorney Ron Smith said.
Marco Antonio Carrillo, 26, and his wife, Nicole Simmarie Carrillo, 23, have been booked on suspicion of torture and felony child abuse.
