Drug War on the Poor

Re “Unintended Effect of War on Drugs Found in Study,” Sept. 20: “Unintended”? No, incarcerating members of our poorest communities is exactly what is intended with our so-called “war on drugs.” Call it what it is--class war--and the resulting current police state looks anything but unintended. Want to see the demographics really change? Launch a war on greed.
