Public Appearance by Leader Kim Reported
From Times Wire Reports
North Korea’s official KCNA news agency said leader Kim Jong Il had visited a military medical university in what foreign analysts said was his first reported appearance since mid-February.
Diplomats in Seoul and South Korean media have speculated that Kim, last seen in public Feb. 12, has been ill or holed up monitoring the U.S.-led war in Iraq.
North Korea says it will be Washington’s next target, which the United States denies. KCNA said Kim visited the university with senior military officials.
