At Least 60 Die When Boat Hits Barge, Sinks

A boat packed with more than 170 people capsized in a river in northeastern Bangladesh, and officials said at least 60 bodies were found. About 100 people swam to safety or were rescued by villagers when the overcrowded boat sank after hitting a barge near the town of Chatak, a local official said. Rescuers were searching for up to a dozen people still missing.
