A federal judge summoned former madam Heidi Fleiss back into court Monday -- this time to publicly congratulate her for successfully completing her probation, which ends today.

“I hope you will continue to do the things that are best for you,” Chief U.S. District Judge Consuelo B. Marshall told the 37-year-old Fleiss, who served three years in prison for money laundering, tax evasion and attempted pandering in connection with the operation of a high-priced Hollywood call girl ring.

Fleiss has since sold her life story to Paramount Pictures, written an autobiography titled, “Pandering,” and launched a publishing company.

“We did go through a period of time when it appeared you were involved in some destructive behavior,” Marshall said, referring to a finding that Fleiss used methamphetamines while on probation in 2001, with the result that she was placed on six months of home detention.

“This court needed to make sure that you were on the right track,” the judge said.

Fleiss, accompanied by her lawyers and younger brother, thanked the judge. She told reporters afterward that she planned to celebrate by “running all the way up to the Hollywood sign and screaming my lungs out.”
