What: “Playing Lessons From the Pros”

Where: The Golf Channel, tonight, 6 and 9.

It’s “Master Your Game Week” on the Golf Channel, and a highlight of the more than 50 hours of instruction is tonight’s showing of “Playing Lessons From the Pros.” The pro in this episode, taped at Lake Las Vegas, is Natalie Gulbis, a 20-year-old from the Sacramento area who is in her second year on the LPGA Tour.

Also featured in the half-hour show is John Gulbis, Natalie’s 55-year-old father who has shoulder-length hair and a scruffy beard. He quit his job as a probation officer to manage her career.

At the top of the show Natalie explains that viewers “get a closer look at how we play shots and what goes through our minds out on the golf course.”

As she plays, Natalie talks about such things as tempo and trusting your swing and when and where to work on mechanics. She realizes her swing is different from most.

“I’m hyper flexible and hyper mobile,” she says.

Another highlight of “Master Your Game Week” will be Wednesday’s debut of a 13-episode series, “What’s in the Bag?” Golf Channel business analyst Andy Barr is host. The show will air Wednesdays at 7 and 10 p.m. and will provide information on golf equipment, technology and accessories.
