Crash Kills Reporter and Camerawoman
From Times Wire Reports
Argentine freelance camerawoman Veronica Cabrera, 28, and TV reporter Mario Podesta, 52, were killed in a car crash outside Baghdad, officials said. Cabrera is the only woman among about a dozen journalists who have died covering the war in Iraq.
Cabrera and Podesta were riding with a convoy of journalists trying to get to Baghdad before nightfall Monday when a tire exploded on their vehicle, causing it to roll several times, the Argentine Foreign Ministry said.
The two worked for Argentine station America TV.
