Nerve Agent Scientist From Iraq Surrenders

A top Iraqi scientist involved in his country’s development of the nerve agent VX has turned himself in to American authorities, a U.S. official said in Washington.
Emad Ani’s surrender could help advance the U.S. search for chemical and biological weapons inside Iraq.
U.S. officials have also accused Ani of ties with an alleged weapons plant linked to the Al Qaeda network in Sudan.
