Storm Kills 1, Destroys 90 Homes, Official Says

A storm killed one person, injured 13 others and destroyed 90 homes in northern Vietnam, an official said.
The weekend storm with hail and high winds left a devastating swath 360 yards wide and more than 15 miles long and blew the roofs off 580 homes, said Tran Quang Trung of the Thanh Hoa provincial floods and storms control bureau, 100 miles south of Hanoi.
The death and injuries occurred when houses collapsed under the force of the strong winds, he said. There was no damage estimate.
