Court Rejects Delay of Nichols’ Hearing
The Oklahoma Supreme Court denied bombing conspirator Terry L. Nichols’ request to postpone a preliminary hearing, a day after a lower-court judge ruled against putting off the hearing for the eighth time.
The ruling was praised by bombing survivors.
“I think the family members, the victims and the survivors of this thing have waited long enough,” said Oklahoma City Police Chaplain Jack Poe.
Nichols’ attorney had argued that uncertainty over if and when the legal team will be paid warranted a delay in the preliminary hearing, set to begin May 5.
