Arab Officials Want Forces Out of Iraq

Arab officials meeting in Damascus, Syria, called for U.S. and British troops to leave Iraq immediately. Representatives of 15 Arab governments urged “an immediate and unconditional withdrawal of the invading forces from Iraqi territories.”
The statement also condemned the Bush administration’s recent accusations that Syria sheltered fugitive members of Saddam Hussein’s ousted government and possessed chemical weapons.
The meeting also renewed a call for Arab states to revive an economic boycott of Israel.
