N. Koreans Who Sought Refuge Ordered Out

Thailand said 10 people who took refuge in the Japanese Embassy in Bangkok would have to leave the country because they were North Koreans who had entered illegally.
The four men, four women, one boy and one girl had rushed up to a Japanese official and pleaded for sanctuary. Japanese and South Korean officials said they were waiting for more information on what the group wanted before commenting on whether they would grant any asylum request.
