The families of five students slain in the Columbine High School massacre have settled their wrongful-death lawsuit against the parents of the teenage gunmen, an attorney said Wednesday.

Gary Lozow, who represents Thomas and Susan Klebold, parents of one of the shooters, said the agreement was filed in federal court Tuesday. He refused to discuss terms.

Lozow said the Klebolds will release a statement about the settlement at a later date.

The attorney for the victims’ families and the lawyer for the other gunman’s parents, Wayne and Katherine Harris, did not immediately return calls seeking comment.

The families of Daniel Rohrbough, Kelly Fleming, Matt Kechter, Lauren Townsend and Kyle Velasquez had sued the parents of Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, claiming that they knew or should have known what their sons were up to before the April 20, 1999, shootings.
