Tiny Library, Big Hearts

Share

On Jan. 26, The Times ran an editorial about our library. There are not words to tell your readers how very much I appreciate the wonderful way they responded. Through their generosity, we now have a new library building. It is twice the size of our old one.

We first opened the Ellisville Library in June 1966. Our population is only 86. So a 10-by-14 room was large enough to contain over 3,000 books. The new building is 14 feet by 22 feet. When we can get all the books back on shelves, we shall have an open house. Again, thank you to all who helped us build this lovely new building.
