Hard to Digest

Re “Changes in Fish Tied to Feedlots,” Dec. 11: So our beef supply includes “trenbolone, a potent androgenic steroid, and zeranol, a fake estrogen.” Sounds delicious! While scientists study the effects of these things, the Europeans took the common-sense approach and banned them. I buy organic beef and chicken, while the scientists mount up their evidence. And the American beef industry groups dare to say that the scientists have an agenda. Their cows are so contaminated that they contaminate the world around them. Who is stupid enough to believe that they are good for humans to eat?
