Huskies Brush Aside Cougars

Will Conroy scored 14 points and Curtis Allen added 13 off the bench Friday night as Washington handed last-place Washington State its 16th consecutive Pacific 10 Conference loss, 81-67.

The Cougars’ last conference victory came Jan. 31, 2002, in Pullman, Wash., against the Huskies.

Doug Wrenn had 11 points for the Huskies (8-10, 3-6 Pac-10), who were coming off losses of 25 points at Oregon and 20 points at Oregon State last week. Cedrick Hughey had 15 points for Washington State (5-13, 0-9).

It was Washington’s eighth victory in a row over Washington State in Seattle. The Cougars haven’t beaten the Huskies in Seattle since Jan. 29, 1994, in Kelvin Sampson’s final season as coach.
