Five Reportedly Killed, Two Kidnapped
Suspected Taliban fighters killed five Afghan soldiers and abducted two others in southern Afghanistan before fleeing into Pakistan, an Afghan official said.
Men in five vehicles attacked the soldiers as they were praying late Friday near Choto, in Helmand province, 180 miles southwest of Kandahar, said Mohammed Mohuddin, an advisor to the provincial governor.
Meanwhile, security forces in the capital, Kabul, seized more than 200 leaflets calling for a holy war against foreign troops and demanding they leave the country.
