From Times Wire Reports

The U.S. Coast Guard scrambled to search the waters near the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge before dawn Tuesday after receiving a report that a man wearing a wetsuit was buzzing across the water in an inflatable boat without lights.

Aware that the nation’s security threat level was high, the operator of the tugboat Polaris notified the Coast Guard at 3 a.m. that the blacked-out craft was heading toward the bridge. The sole occupant was wearing a wetsuit and what appeared to be a snorkel, the tugboat crew said. The search turned up nothing.
