Terrifying Times

Re “Guerrillas Kill Kurdish Leader in Iraq,” Feb. 10: Your evocative photograph of Kurds grieving the death of Shawkat Haji Mushir is hauntingly reminiscent of Pablo Picasso’s powerful condemnation of war, “Guernica.”

These are truly terrifying times. When will we ever learn?
