Corporate Approach Key to Clear Channel Woes

Share

Re: “Clear Channel’s Concert Unit Isn’t Living Up to Its Billing” (Feb. 9):

As a professional musician and producer for the last 20 years I can safely say that Clear Channel is detested by most musicians because of their corporate approach to music-making decisions.

Listen to the radio and you will hear the same songs over and over by the same artists resulting in fewer choices for listeners.

So it doesn’t surprise me at all that its concert division is failing from similar corporate decisions.

Ultimately, Clear Channel will be brought down by the public’s lack of support for what a bunch of old businessmen in suits think we should all be listening to.
