3 Dissident Soldiers, Protester Found Dead
Three military dissidents and a woman who had protested against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez have been killed execution-style after being kidnapped, police said.
All four frequented Caracas’ Plaza Altamira, the site of months of anti-Chavez protests. A 14-year-old girl who apparently witnessed at least one of the killings was hospitalized after being shot but is talking, police said.
Two bodies were found alongside a highway outside Caracas. At least one other victim was found on a farm. Police refused to discuss a motive or suspects.
