Turkey Dickers on Aid

Re “Aid Request Spurned, Turkey Delays Decision on U.S. Access,” Feb. 21: The billions the Bush administration is offering Turkey is not aid; it is a shameless bribe. Its refusal would severely hamper President Bush’s attempt to wage his misguided war for oil and revenge.

Perhaps Bush should increase “aid” to American citizens. He will need our votes -- unless, of course, his cronies take away our right to vote.
