Freshman Randy Green scored a season-high 22 points Saturday as Washington State ended a losing streak at 14 games by defeating Oregon State, 75-71.

Green was the only scorer in double figures for Washington State, 6-18 and 1-14 in the Pacific 10. The Cougars had lost a school-record 21 consecutive conference games since beating Washington, 81-79, on Jan. 31, 2002.

Last season, Washington State was 1-17 in Pac-10 play.

Philip Ricci scored 25 points and Brian Jackson had 20 for Oregon State (12-11, 5-9). The Beavers are battling for a berth in the eight-team conference tournament.
