Kuwait Arrests 3 Alleged Terrorists
Kuwaiti authorities have arrested three men on suspicion of planning terrorist attacks on U.S. forces in this tiny Persian Gulf nation, the Interior Ministry said Monday.
“They were trying to hunt the American army in the highways,” said Col. Ahmad Shergawi, a ministry spokesman.
The three, all Kuwaitis, were found with weapons and ammunition, the ministry said. A ministry official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the men were arrested Sunday after being watched for some time.
The official said the three are Muslim extremists who follow the principles of Osama bin Laden.
