From Bloomberg News

Microsoft Corp. and the Bush administration asked a judge to bar two computer industry trade groups from appealing the settlement of the 4 1/2-year-old antitrust battle.

Antitrust enforcers and Microsoft said the Software & Information Industry Assn. and the Computer & Communication Industry Assn. don’t have a right to appeal.

The trade associations had asked U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly to allow them to appeal her Nov. 1 finding that the settlement was in the public interest.
