The highly contagious exotic Newcastle disease spread to a fifth commercial poultry flock in California, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.

The new outbreak was found in San Bernardino County. The discovery makes two commercial flocks in that county and a total of five in the state infected with the disease. All contaminated or exposed chickens are being killed.
