Man Killed Riding Bike Down 100 Steps

A 27-year-old man was killed while trying to ride his bicycle down more than 100 concrete steps early Friday, police said.
Mario Leiva hit his head on the edge of one of the steps after the rear tire on his mountain bike apparently came off, causing him to fall more than 50 feet, police said.
Leiva’s body was found about 6:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Kirby Street.
