Woman Gets 5 Years in Self-Immolation Attempt

A woman who tried to light herself on fire in front of a Vietnamese official was sentenced to five years in prison.
The sentencing of Ngoc Hanh Dang Nguyen came 13 months after she was arrested after trying to set herself afire before Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dzung as he spoke at a hotel. She was convicted of arson and assault.
