A Manhattan art gallery has pleaded guilty to evading state and city sales taxes on more than $2.4 million worth of 16th, 17th and 18th century paintings and drawings.
Bob P. Haboldt & Co., which specializes in works by Dutch and Flemish masters, entered the plea Wednesday for sales made between 1998 and 2002. A spokeswoman for the Manhattan district attorney’s office said that Haboldt had agreed to pay $400,000 in fines.
