From Times Wire Reports

North Korea has reprocessed all of the 8,000 spent fuel rods stored at its Yongbyon nuclear complex, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said today.

The report quoted Chang Sung Min, a top aide to former South Korean President Kim Dae Jung, as saying that North Korean diplomats at the United Nations had recently told U.S. officials that the processing had been completed June 30. South Korean government officials had no comment.

If the report is confirmed, it would mean that North Korea has made more progress than previously suspected in stockpiling raw material for making nuclear weapons.
