A Bullish Situation Confronts Legislators
A raging bull stormed the opening session of Yemen’s legislature, injuring three people before police shot it.
The bull’s owners had intended to slaughter it as a protest against one of the lawmakers, but the animal broke free as it was being unloaded from a van in front of the building.
The bull barged into the legislative chamber where hundreds of lawmakers were sitting, then ran back out onto the street, where it charged into a Russian tourist. She was hospitalized. A parliamentary employee and a child also were hurt.
