Don’t hate her because she’s rich

The scathing letters about Tara Guber’s yoga and meditation center on her luxurious Bel-Air estate indicate to me simple jealousy on the part of the writers (Letters, June 5).

I do not see anything wrong with a person trying to improve herself and at the same time give something back to the community. It is far more than many wealthy people do. They are often only concerned with the single-minded pursuit of enhancing and protecting their positions and assets.

Sure, her center is ultra-posh, but if we were able to, wouldn’t we all want to create a world in accordance with our desires?
