Concert: For the first time, Fenway Park, home to baseball’s Boston Red Sox, may be used as a venue for a major rock concert. Team officials have asked the city for permits that would allow Bruce Springsteen to perform there Sept. 6-7.

Award: The Yale Repertory Theatre’s staging of Bill Rauch’s “Medea/Macbeth/Cinderella” was named best play of Connecticut’s 2002-03 theater season by the Connecticut Critics Circle. An earlier version of the play was produced by Cornerstone Theater Company and the Actors’ Gang in Los Angeles in 1998.
