In her new role as her company’s chief creative officer, Martha Stewart says she is concentrating on helping her company recover from the controversy surrounding her sale of stock in drug maker ImClone Systems Inc. Stewart said she also was trying to help develop new homemaking products, as well as an expansion of the recipe magazine Everyday Food.

“The search for creative ideas, I can certainly continue to play that part,” Stewart said Wednesday. “I now have more time to contribute more ideas.”

Stewart resigned this month as chief executive and chairwoman of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. after she was indicted on federal charges of lying to investigators who were examining her stock trading. She has denied all wrongdoing.
