25 Are Charged in April War Protest

Misdemeanor charges have been filed against 25 people arrested during a war protest at the Port of Oakland that ended when police fired on demonstrators with rubber bullets, wooden dowels and other projectiles.

Protesters were charged Monday with interfering with a lawful business, failure to disperse and disturbing the peace. The defendants were among 33 people arrested during the April 7 protest.
