Ex-Bosnia Leader Arrives for Prison Term
From Times Wire Reports
Biljana Plavsic, a former Bosnian Serb leader sentenced to 11 years in prison for promoting the murder, rape and torture of non-Serbs, will serve her time in Sweden, the Justice Ministry said.
Plavsic, who arrived in Stockholm on Thursday, is the highest-ranking politician from the former Yugoslav federation to be sentenced by a U.N. criminal tribunal based at The Hague.
She probably will serve her time at a high-security facility, which houses 18 inmates and has a sauna and riding stables.
